Tanzania Safari: 5 Reasons To Take A Safari Through Tanzania

An individual tour or Tanzania Safari is a journey through many highlights of the continent of Africa: The Kilimanjaro is the famous migration place in the Serengeti National Park. You can easily combine a safari through Tanzania with a building block Tanzania or a tour in one of the other countries. Or maybe with a beach stay on Zanzibar?

1) Tanzania, a safari island par excellence

One of the most varied safari islands in Africa is Tanzania, where every game area is different and unique. The northern parks are usually visited. The endless plains of the Serengeti are very impressive, especially with the presence of the five big Safari trips through Tarangire National Park. At Lake Manyara, a relatively small park, the lake has a great appeal to flamingos and animals. Spectacular safari tours take place at the bottom of the Ngorongoro crater, for which you first have to descend 400 meters.

The south of Tanzania safari is a more unspoiled tourist spot where there is more variety in the safari activities such as boat trips on the Rufiji River where you can see the hippos, crocodiles and many bird species are spotted. Ideal in combination with Ruaha National Park, where you can make great walking safaris. On foot, you feel even more at one with nature. The focus is on smaller games, plants, and insects, but there is a good chance that lions will also cross your path!

2) Sleeping in a wildlife park in Tanzania Safari

During a trip through Tanzania, you can spend the night in many different ways. We generally offer small-scale accommodations that could be a lodge with a view over the lake or a tent camp in the middle of nature.
A middle-class stay is Crater Forest Camp, where 15 safari tents are beautifully situated. For a luxury class, Lemala Ewanjan has our preference for a location in the middle of the Serengeti.

3) English or Swahili?

We can guide to speak English well so that this is the official language during the safari trip. Still, it is also to speak a few words of Swahili at the end of the journey. Often it is fun because the safari guide likes to teach them to you. We already give you a tip-off of the veil, so that you can start your safari well prepared. Jambo is hello, Habari means welcome, while in Swahili you say thank you to Asante Sana. In terms of safari words, Chui (leopard), Simba (lion), Tembo (elephant), Duma (cheeta) and Twiga (giraffe) are important to know.

4) Beach extension Zanzibar

How wonderful it is to relax after a safari in Tanzania on a white sandy beach with a view of the azure ocean. Stay in a hotel on Zanzibar. Zanzibar is a tropical paradise where you can relax carefreely. Start the day well with a nice long beach walk and take a dip in the sea to cool off. Those who enjoy water sports are at the right place here. Diving and snorkeling enthusiasts can discover the magically colored underwater world. But the island offers more than just beach, there are various excursion options and frankly, a visit to Stonetown, the historic center of Zanzibar, cannot be missed.

5) Time difference with Tanzania

The big advantage of a trip to Tanzania is that you do not have to deal with large time differences. During our winter it is 2 hours later in Tanzania, while in the summer there is only 1-hour difference.
